The legacy of Omega Energy

Omega has accumulated 15 years of pioneering and technological innovation in the renewable energy sector. It also created Brazil's first digital energy platform, operating mainly in the sectors of wind energy, hydroelectric energy and solar energy.

In 2023, we started a new era presenting Serena Energy to the market. With technology investment of cutting‑edge and respect for the environment, Serena brings savings and renewable energy to all its customers.

We serve everything from large global companies, local businesses to families seeking conscious consumption of sustainable energy. We continue with the same passion to live, expand and make clean and affordable energy a reality for everyone.

New brand

Serena keeps at the center of its initiatives the strong spirit of community, leading and inspiring thousands of stakeholders to embrace the cause of clean energy and share the results it generates. 

With that in mind, the Serena Community was created, the referral program where customers start saving by buying from the brand, and can also support an initiative. Moreover, the new company has attributes that translate its strategy in the two operating markets (Brazil and the US). 

In 2022, the company began the internationalization process by announcing its first investment in the United States, with the Goodnight 1 wind complex (265.5 MW). The project had construction started in September 2022 and inaugurated in December 2023.   

For some time now, the company operates beyond electricity generation. Our commitment is to put the customer at the center, developing solutions from clean technologies, in a data driven way and with differentiated skills to lead the new frontiers of the energy transition. 

This enables the creation of a new place to dialogue with the world about topics that go beyond investments, electricity and infrastructure. Our commitment is to the environment, to communities and above all, to you.

Community relationship 

Furthermore, the commitment to the community remains in Serena's purposes. Founded in 2022, the Janela Institute for the World was born with the goal of transforming the world through education and income generation.

Through the project, it is possible to shorten the distance between dreams and opportunities, and foster a sustainable future. In this new chapter of its story, Serena continues bringing prosperity to the more than 1,900 students, teachers and families involved in the project. 

Today, the centers are located in three teaching sites present in communities far from major urban centers. They are in Piauí, Maranhão and Bahia, in addition to initiatives in a 100% remote model.

A good example of this is the use of artificial intelligence in different areas, such as energy generation forecasting and greater assertiveness in commercial contracts.

By 2023, 35 tons of carbon emissions were avoided per GWh produced by Serena, reducing environmental impact and the damages caused by the greenhouse effect.
